Warehouse
Warehouse roofs and cladding systems work harder than almost any other building type, covering large uninterrupted spans while protecting valuable stock below.
Warehouse buildings present specific roofing challenges: large roof areas prone to wear, ageing asbestos cement on older stock, and the need for minimal disruption to ongoing logistics operations. Tek Clad Ltd delivers refurbishment, new build, maintenance and repair, and asbestos cement removal for warehouses of every size, working around live operations wherever possible.
- Large-Span ExpertiseRoofing and cladding systems built for the scale and loading demands of warehouse structures.
- Minimal DisruptionWorks planned around ongoing logistics and storage operations.
- Full Service RangeFrom single repairs to complete refurbishment and new build envelopes.

Systems commonly used
Tap a system to read more about how it performs on warehouse buildings.
System
Single Skin Metal
Single skin metal roofing and cladding uses a single profiled metal sheet, typically specified where insulation is provided separately or isn't required. It's a cost-effective, durable option well suited to warehouses, agricultural buildings and other structures where budget and simplicity are priorities.
Request a SurveySystem
Double Skin Metal
Double skin metal systems use two profiled metal sheets with insulation sandwiched between them, built on site rather than pre-formed as a panel. This gives strong thermal performance and durability, and is a common choice for larger industrial roofs and cladding installations.

Composite Cladding
Composite cladding panels combine an outer and inner metal skin with an insulating core, giving excellent thermal performance in a single lightweight system. Widely used on new build and refurbishment projects, composite panels offer a clean, modern finish alongside strong weather resistance and low maintenance requirements.

Standing Seam
Standing seam roofing uses raised, interlocking seams between panels rather than exposed fixings, giving a clean appearance and excellent weathertightness. It's a popular choice where visual quality matters alongside performance, and suits both low and steep pitch applications.

Gutter Linings
Proprietary gutter linings resolve persistent leaks in internal and external gutters permanently, unlike painted or felt patch repairs. Installed on new build, refurbishment and maintenance projects alike, linings are backed by manufacturer guarantees.

FAQs
Warehouse roofing questions
If your question is not answered here, call the estimating team on 01305 770433.
Can warehouse roofing work be carried out while the building stays in operation?
Yes. We plan warehouse projects around ongoing operations wherever possible, phasing work or scheduling around quieter periods to minimise disruption to storage and logistics activity.
Do older warehouses often contain asbestos cement roofing?
Yes, particularly warehouses built before the 1990s. We carry out non-licensed, non-notifiable removal of asbestos cement roofing and cladding as part of many warehouse refurbishment projects.
What roofing system is best for a large warehouse roof?
This depends on the building's age, structure and budget. Composite cladding and double skin metal systems are common choices for warehouses, and we'll recommend the right option following a site survey.
Can you repair a leak in a specific area without re-roofing the whole warehouse?
Yes. Many warehouse issues can be resolved with targeted repairs such as gutter linings or localised sheet replacement, rather than a full re-roof.
Do you work on new build warehouse developments?
Yes. We work with developers and principal contractors on new build warehouse projects, delivering complete roofing and cladding envelope systems from design through to installation.
