The project
A second early 1990s industrial unit at Cadbury Business Park, with a twin skin metal roof suffering from plastisol failure, corrosion and water ingress.
The owner is a long-standing returning client: we have built and maintained buildings on the park for many years. We had patch repaired this roof for years, but with ongoing failures and the roof at the end of its life, it needed a full refurbishment.
We overclad around 1,150 m² of roof with a complete system that complies with current building regulations, in three weeks.

The challenge
Draining into the existing gutters
As on Building A, the key detail was making the new roof drain into the existing gutters, which were lined with Plygene as part of the works.
With scaffolding and roof safety netting in place, the overclad went on without complications.
