The project

A new build warehouse and office building at Henstridge, Somerset, clad throughout in Tata Trisomet 333 composite panels.

We were recommended for the job by a steelwork contractor we have worked with many times. Working alongside the architect and the steelwork contractor, we installed 1,850m² of roof and 1,000m² of elevation cladding in eight weeks.

The office elevations are finished in Tata Trimapanel, with Filon roof lights and stainless steel fixings throughout.

The challenge

Lifting 14m roof panels

The roof panels came to site in 14m lengths. Every one was lifted into place using a 100 tonne crane and a vacuum lifter, working across the steel frame as the roof went on.

The other detail that needed care was the junction between the two wall systems: the micro-rib Trimapanel on the office elevations and the profiled Trisomet cladding to the rest of the building.
