The project

An early 1990s industrial unit at Cadbury Business Park, with a twin skin metal roof suffering from plastisol failure, corrosion and water ingress.

We have a long-standing relationship with this client, having delivered and maintained numerous projects for them over many years. On this roof we had carried out patch repairs and maintenance throughout its service life, but with ongoing failures and the roof at the end of its lifespan, a full refurbishment was needed.

We installed a complete overclad system that complies with current building regulations, in three weeks.

The challenge

Draining into the existing gutters

The main challenge was creating a suitable detail for the new roof to drain into the building's existing gutters, which were lined with Plygene as part of the works.

Otherwise the job ran without complications, from scaffolding and netting through to the finished roof.
