Who We Are

Tek Clad Ltd is a specialist industrial roofing and cladding contractor delivering refurbishment, replacement, and new build envelope systems for commercial and industrial buildings across the UK.

We work with commercial property owners, developers and principal contractors to deliver high-quality roofing and cladding solutions across a wide range of sectors including logistics, manufacturing, industrial estates and commercial property. Since our formation in 2010, we've developed a strong reputation for delivering safe, reliable and technically sound projects, built on repeat business and long-term client relationships.

Our core expertise lies in industrial refurbishment and asbestos cement removal, providing practical, cost-effective solutions to extend the life of existing buildings while minimising disruption to our clients' operations. Alongside this, we deliver new build roofing and cladding packages, supporting principal contractors on commercial and industrial construction projects.

Structured for Scale
Our teams are structured to deliver projects of varying scale safely and efficiently, from complex refurbishment works through to full new build roofing and cladding packages.
In-House Lifting Capability
We maintain in-house capability for site lifting operations, including appointed persons, crane supervisors, slinger/signallers and telehandler operators, enabling us to plan and manage lifting activities safely.
Vetted Subcontract Network
Where required, we supplement our workforce with a trusted network of specialist subcontract operatives, all subject to internal vetting for competency, training and insurance.

Ian Hambidge

Managing Director

Ian Hambidge founded Tek Clad in 2010, establishing Tek Clad Ltd in 2012. He has worked within the industrial roofing and cladding sector since 1996, following a family background in the industry spanning over 50 years. Beginning his career on site, Ian has progressed through all levels of the industry, developing a comprehensive understanding of installation practices, system specifications and project delivery, and holds multiple qualifications within the construction and roofing sector. As Managing Director, Ian maintains a proactive, hands-on approach, remaining closely involved in project delivery, client engagement and the strategic development of the company.

Daniel Austin

Contracts Manager

Daniel Austin is a Contracts Manager at Tek Clad Ltd, supporting the delivery of roofing and cladding projects across both refurbishment and new build sectors. Following an earlier professional career in sport and sales, Daniel transitioned into the construction industry and has since become an integral part of the Tek Clad Ltd team. Holding SMSTS certification, Daniel is actively involved in project coordination, client liaison and site management, bringing strong communication skills and a clear focus on professionalism to a growing portfolio of commercial and industrial projects.

Every team member is trained in first aid, with several holding SSSTS certification.

Health & Safety

Health and safety are paramount in the roofing industry, particularly when working at height. We uphold a comprehensive health and safety policy, with professional guidance provided by an external Health & Safety consultancy. Our commitment to safety has earned consecutive Health & Safety awards from the NFRC. Every project is supported by detailed, project-specific method statements and risk assessments, provided to clients before work begins to ensure full transparency around the sequence of work, associated risks, and how we minimise disruption throughout.

Environmental Action

We take our environmental responsibility seriously, applying carbon reduction principles to our design work, our onsite delivery, and the ongoing running of our own business. Our head office, constructed in 2018, was built to be as energy-efficient as possible, directly reducing our own carbon consumption.

Our vehicle fleet meets the latest Euro 6 emission standards and is tracked to help monitor and reduce fuel usage, and our PPE is sourced from recyclable materials where possible. We bring this same approach to our client projects, helping deliver roofing and cladding solutions that improve a building's environmental performance alongside its structural condition.
