Tek Clad Ltd has been tasked with the refurbishment of a water inlet building.
The acidic & high-humidity environment of this building has caused widespread corrosion throughout the entire building both internally and externally.
This project has several phases with the first phase being the replacement & upgrading of the roof covering & structural secondary steel.
Working closely with the client we put together a full specification for the replacement of the existing roof. This specification has been designed to increase the lifespan of the building substantially.

Reliable, qualified and experienced
The existing single-skin standing seam covering was removed & recycled.
All cold rolled roof purlins were removed and replaced with galvanized and two-pack powder-coated purlins installed using stainless steel bolts.
The new roof system has been fitted with a new liner sheet; insulation compliant with current regulations then covered with a standing seam outer skin.
All three gutters in the building have had new metal-backed gutter linings installed for a trouble-free long-life span which carries a 30-year guarantee.
Our workforce is directly employed. Every member of the team has all relevant SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS and CPCS cards (including for the 360-degree telehandler). All lifts were prepared in-house by our fully qualified APs and all lifts were slung, signalled, and deployed by our trained & qualified team of crane supervisors, appointed persons and slinger signallers.
Phase One was completed without incident, on budget & well within the time frame allocated, despite some poor autumn weather.
We are one of the very few companies in this industry that can be relied upon, are qualified, and experienced enough to identify the problems, build, and job-specific system specifications and then carry out all works completely in-house.
