Tek Clad was instructed to carry out a commercial roof replacement in Weymouth after the metal canopy roof at the Fantasy Island complex began to fail. The structure had been originally installed with no slope at all, which meant rainwater simply had nowhere to go. Years of standing water and poor drainage caused extensive corrosion and ongoing leaks throughout the canopy.

To resolve this, our team first applied a VCL membrane to create a robust, watertight base. We then built a new framework to introduce a tailored roof pitch, improving drainage across the entire canopy. Because the pitch remained shallow, we specified the Euroclad SF500 secret-fix roofing system – a high-performance, low-pitch solution ideal for long-term weather protection in coastal locations like Weymouth.

The project was delivered on schedule and within budget, providing the client with a durable, cleanly finished roof that finally performs as it should.
