Fantasy Island, Weymouth, Dorset

Tek Clad was called in to resolve a persistent issue with a failed metal canopy roof at the Fantasy Island site in Weymouth. The existing roof had suffered significant corrosion due to its incorrect original construction - it was a completely flat roof, with no slope, leading to long-term drainage and water ingress problems.

To address this, the team first installed a VCL membrane to create a watertight seal. A new framework was then built to introduce a roof pitch, allowing for improved runoff. The pitch was still very shallow, so a specialist low-pitch secret fix roofing system was selected and installed to ensure a durable, weatherproof finish with sufficient drainage.

The project was completed on time and within budget, with the client more than happy with the end result.
